• Just five minutes until kick off now and on the big screen they are playing the usual montage of great Arsenal moments. Adams, Henry… there are to many to name. It makes you proud to be a Gooner!

• So what of tonight’s opponents Wigan? I spoke to Paul Kendrick of the Wigan observer yesterday and he told me how the Latics love to get the ball down and play, much like Arsenal. “He [Roberto Martinez] doesn’t know any other way [than to play attractive football]. He’s not the kind of manager who will go route one just to get results. He will be looking forward to the opportunity of going up against a fellow advocate of good football. There is no danger that Martinez will resort to anything else other than his usual brand of attacking football.” So that means we could be in for a feast of football tonight. Fingers crossed!
