SAVE BY FABIANSKI AGAIN: Boateng shoots from the edge of the area and the goalkeeper tips the ball over
88
ALL OVER NOW: Nasri plays a ball behind the City defence and Bendtner runs onto it and steadies himself before slotting the ball across Hart and into the far corner. Great finish and that's game over now
88

BUT ARSENAL GET IT BACK: No sooner had they lost it - Squillaci wins the ball back
84
KEEP BALL FOR ARSENAL: They string a good 50 odd passes together as Man City fans head for the exits. It is eventually broken up when Walcott tries slipping a through ball to Song and Kompany intercepts
83
Substitution IT'S A DOUBLE CHANGE: Walcott returns to first-team action as he replaces Fabregas
83
Substitution Substitution for Arsenal: Bendtner comes on to replace Chamakh
81
CITY CAN'T FIND A WAY THROUGH: Arsenal are defending brilliantly here. Every player to a man is doing their job as Mancini's side struggle to get near Fabianski’s goal
80
CHAMAKH SHOOTS OVER: Fabregas does well to hold the ball up inside the area and tees up the striker who fires well over
78
BOATENG NEARLY TOES INTO HIS OWN NET: Chamakh passes to Denilson who then moves the ball across the area to Rosicky who opts not to shoot and instead tries to play a cute diagonal ball back to the Brazilian. The defender gets an outstretched foot on the ball and it trickles past the far post
76
ARSENAL DICTATING THE PACE OF PLAY: They are keeping the ball well in midfield with Song, Denilson and Fabregas looking strong in the middle of the park
75

73
ANOTHER FINE SAVE FROM FABIANSKI: Adebayor heads goalwards from a yeard and the goalkeeper shows great reflexes to deny the former Gunner from point blank range. The flag was up but the Pole wasn't to know
72
CITY FANS GETTING RESTLESS: Arsenal are trying to kill the pace of the game by keeping the ball as they love to do. Song again shows great strength to win the ball back for Arsenal
71
Substitution Substituation for City: Balotelli on for Barry as the home side look to get back into the game
70
Yellow Card KOMPANY BOOKED: He blocks off Sagna and goes into the book
69
Substitution CHANGE FOR ARSENAL: Rosicky on for Arshavin
65
ARSENAL DOUBLE THEIR LEAD: Arshavin switches the ball to Nasri on the right who touches the ball to Fabregas on the edge of the area. He tires to slip in Chamakh but Bridge gets a toe to the ball though it comes to Song who smashes into the far corner. Great finish and surely three points for the Gunners now
65
GOAL! - Alex Song 0 : 2 GOAL FOR ARSENAL: SONG MAKES IT 0-2
64
GOOD TACKLE FROM FABREGAS: He wins the ball from Milner in a very promising position just to the right of the area. He really wants to make sure Arsenal see this out after his peanlty miss
63
RICHARDS CAN'T BELIEVE IT: He feels he should have a corner but the referee deems him and not Djourou to have had the last touch
62
SONG HAS BEEN VERY SOLID TODAY: He has been a real disruptive force
60
CHAEP CORNER FOR ARSENAL: Under pressure from Arshavin, Boateng needlessly concedes a corner. It comes to nothing and Adebayor breaks only for Song to produce a well timed challenge to break up the play
59
ARSHAVIN SHOOTS: From the edge of the area he decides to try his luck but his shot is too central and Hart saves easily
57
HEADED OVER BY ADEBAYOR: A corner is flicked on and the striker rises above Fabianski but can't keep his header down
55
GREAT SAVE FABIANSKI AGAIN: Silva runs into the area and toes the ball towards the far post where Fabianski sticks out a strong right hand to tip teh ball round the post and produce a wonderful save. That really was superb reflexes
54
ONE PASS TO MANY: Arsenal break with Arshavin on the left. He cuts inside before passing to Chamakh who decides against shooting and opts to square to Nasri and his shot is blocked well. Maybe Chamakh had an opportunity to get a shot away there
53
GOOD BREAK UP PLAY FROM SONG: Not once but twice. It leads to a crossing opportunity for Sagna to centre and Fabregas just mis-times his jump and misses the ball at the back post
51
Substitution HERE COMES THAT MAN: Adebayor on for Tevez. The former Arsenal man scored in this fixture last season and is greeting by loud cheers from the City fans and equally as loud boos from Gunners supporters
50
GREAT CROSS FROM CLICHY: He gets to the byline before putting in a great ball into a very dangerous area. Hart does well to punch clear before Chamakh can get there
48
TEVEZ STRUGGLING: I think he's coming off. Adebayor is warming up...
47
CHANCE FOR FABREGAS: Chamakh shows great strength to get past Boateng before cutting the ball back for Fabregas who with time picks out Nasri. He dwells on the ball slightly before giving it back to his captain who hits a tame left-footed shot into the arms of Hart from ten yards out. That was a real chance
47
GOOD BALL FROM ARSHAVIN: He slips in Chamakh on the left of the penalty area but Kompany comes across well to get his body in front of the Arsenal man and see the ball out for a goal kick. Clever from Arshavin though
Kick Off Manchester City get the second half underway. This is a vital 45 minutes of football for Arsene Wenger’s side against the ten men. Come on you reds!
46
Substitution Change for City: Bridge comes on for Yaya Toure
Half Time But it comes to nothing and there goes the half-time whistle. What a game so far! Man City down to ten, Nasri's goal and Fabregas' missed penalty mean Arsenal lead 0-1 at the break
45
FREE KICK IN A DANGEROUS POSITION: Fabregas is brought down right on the edge of the area by De Jong. Great chance for Arsenal just before the break..
44
GREAT BLOCK BY KOMPANY: Denilson shoots from the edge of the area but the big defender gets everything behind the ball and makes a great sliding challenge
43

41
KOMPANY HEADS OVER: From a corner he rises highest but heads well over Fabianski’s crossbar
40
HART SAVES: Oh no! Fabregas hits his penalty to the right but the goalkeeper gets his body behind it and makes the stop
39
PENALTY FOR ARSENAL: Fabregas is brought down by Kompany right in the corner of the area. Sagna played the ball to his captain who got there first and knicked it away from the defender before being chopped down...penalty
37
CLICHY GETS FORWARD: He plays a give and go with Arshavin and the ball is switched over to Nasri. Arsenal then give the ball away with an over hit pass from Sagna but it comes to nothing as Djourou clears
35
Yellow Card ANOTHER BOOKING: This time for Djourou for a foul on Tevez. Every tackle that Arsenal make is greeted with boos from the home fans. The Gunners need to be careful here
34
BARRY JUST BEATS NASRI TO THE BALL: Arsenal move it from left to right and work an opening in the area. Nasri runs onto it at the back post but Barry beats him to it and wins the ball
33
CHAMAKH DWELLS ON THE BALL: On the edge of the area he receives a pass from Fabregas and gets caught in two minds. He loses possession and Man City come forward. Nasri was free on the right hand side of the area and is very frustrated with that
32
Yellow Card SONG GETS A BOOKING: He throws a right leg out and brings down Silva. How many yellow cards is that now?
31
DENILSON NEEDS TO BE CAREFUL: The referee gives him another talking to after a late challenge. He can't afford too many more of those
30
CITY CAN'T CLEAR: Arsenal keep the ball for a good period of time before a stray pass from Song means the home side have a goal kick. Sagna is far from impressed with that pass
28
SHOT FROM RICHARDS GOES JUST WIDE: Tevez plays the ball behind Djourou and the right back runs onto the ball in the area. He then drags the ball back onto his left foot and tries curling a shot into the far corner but it goes just wide. Positive play from the defender
27
Yellow Card BOOKING FOR FABREGAS: He is late on De Jong and goes into the book
26
ARSHAVN SHOT BLOCKED: He runs positively at the City defence before Milner diverts the ball behind
25
ARSHAVIN JUST CAN'T REACH IT: Sagna crosses from the right and it misses both Chamakh and then Arshavin. The Russian was expecting the striker to get something on it and couldn’t react in time
23
GREAT TRACKING BACK FROM ARSHAVIN: Well played by the Russian. He got back all the way to the corner flag and dispossessed Tevez. That will please Wenger. The whole Arsenal team really do look up for this
22
THE GOAL HAS GIVEN ARSENAL CONFIDENCE: They keep the ball as Fabregas, Arshavin and Nasri pass the ball around in the City half. The goal seems to have shaken the home side and the Gunners look really hungry
20
Nasri gives Arsenal the lead. He plays a great one two with Arshavin before smashing the ball into the roof of the net from close range. He lost Barry who was his marker and finshed well
20
GOAL! - Samir Nasri 0 : 1 GOAL FOR ARSENAL: Samir Nasri. 0-1
18

17
OH WHAT A CHANCE FOR DJOUROU: He heads over from six yards when he really should do better. City failed to clear a corner and it came to Sagna who produced a great cross and the defender headed over when he should have hit the target
15
CHANCE FOR TEVEZ: A mix up between Squillaci and Djourou creates space for the striker who can only poke a weak effort towards goal and Fabianski makes an easy save.
14
GOOD DEFENDING BY CLICHY: Tevez runs at the full back but Clichy is upto the task and tackles well before clearing
13
SONG IN LATE ON SILVA: But the referee keeps his cards in his pocket this time
12
Yellow Card ANOTHER BOOKING: Barry comes in late on Fabregas and gets a yellow card
10
WHAT A START TO THIS GAME: Let's catch our breath. This is a great chance for Arsenal to really take the game to City against a side with ten men.
8
FABREGAS DOWN: A powerful tackle from De Jong takes the wind from the Arsenal captain’s sails. The City man has been in the news recently for the tackle that injured Ben Arfa of Newcastle but that was just slightly late and nothing malicious. Fabregas limps off but he will just have to run that off
6
Yellow Card BOOKING FOR DENILSON: For a foul on Tevez. This game has began with a real tempo at Eastlands
5
THE FREE KICK COMES TO NOTHING: Nasri tries to take it short but it is cleared
4
Fabregas played through Chamakh who was hauled down on the edge of the area by the defender. He was the last man and there was no real complaints from the City players. What drama here! The home side are down to ten. And Arsenal have a free kick in a dangerous position…
4
Red Card RED CARD FOR BOYATA
2
MAN CITY ENJOY EARLY POSSESSION: Arsenal look shaky here. Toure’s cross is well cleared by Sagna from a dangerous position. The home side have began the game on the front foot
1
GREAT EARLY SAVE FROM FABIANSKI: Tevez beats Djourou on the touchline and gets to the byline before crossing to Silva at the front post. He beats Squillaci to the ball and tries a cheeky flick that is fantastically saved by the goalkeeper low to his right. He showed great reflexes there. That could have been a terrible start

Emmanuel Adebayor starts on the bench despite a hat-trick in the Europa League on Thursday, as does Patrick Vieira. So that's not one but two ex-Arsenal players in Roberto Mancini’s squad for the game today
Jack Wilshere is suspended after his red card against Birmingham and Denilson comes in. Also from the side that beat Shakhtar in midweek out go Tomas Rosicky and Emmanuel Eboue and in come Andrey Arshavin and Bacary Sagna
So Laurent Koscielny has not recovered from his back injury in time to start and takes a place on the bench with Johan Djourou continuing at the heart of the Arsenal defence.
Subs: Szczesny, Koscielny, Rosicky, Walcott, Eboue, Gibbs, Bendtner
The Arsenal team is in and here it is... Fabianski, Sagna, Djourou, Squillaci, Clichy, Nasri, Fabregas, Song, Denilson, Arshavin, Chamakh.

The MatchDay Show gets underway at 3.30pm (UK time) with highlights of Tuesday's win over Shakhtar, the key moments from Arsene Wenger's pre-match press conference, a exclusive interview with Wojciech Szczesny and all the breaking team news.
There has been a lot of talk since coming away empty handed from Stamford Bridge about Arsenal’s inability to beat the cream of the Premier League. So today, against a Manchester City side that has spent vast sums of money over the summer, is a chance to show we can win against the top teams in what is a vital game at Eastlands.
We all know what happened in the corresponding fixture last season with a certain former Gunner’s behavior making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Today is a chance to make up for that defeat, prove our own title credentials and once and for all put the nonsense about not being able to win ‘big’ games firmly to bed.
Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal side travel to the City of Manchester Stadium today to face a Manchester City side who claim to be serious title contenders. This really is a huge game.
