Arsene Wenger has been speaking ahead of today’s game: "Ideally you would want a team like Sunderland at home now but we can't choose that. We just have to show we have the strength and ability to focus on the Premier League straight away,” said Wenger. “It's important for our season as well that we're capable of going from Champions League to the Premier League.”

The Gunners lost 1-0 at the Stadium of Light last season - though Arsene Wenger’s side travel to the north-east having scored 19 goals in their opening five matches of the season - including the half-dozen on Wednesday.
We were treated to a football masterclass by the Gunners on Wednesday as they brushed aside a highly-rated Braga with ease, but they will expect a much tougher test today. Arsenal are in Sunderland today for at 5.30 kick-off against a side that defeated Manchester City is their last home game.
