90
ARSENAL STAY IN SECOND: Song got the all-important goal two minutes before the end after Green had made save after save to keep Arsenal at bay. A deserved win against a very resilient West Ham side
Full Time IT'S ALL OVER! ARSENAL HAVE WON! ARSENAL 1 WEST HAM 0
90
LAST CHANCE FOR WEST HAM: They will pile another free kick into the box... and Fabianski claims well! Relief!
90
GOOD POSSESSION FROM ARSENAL: They are playing keep-ball. 'Ole' chant the home fans. Seconds left now
90
WEST HAM FREE KICK: Very brave defending from Koscielny though and Arsenal break... but the ball gets away from Fabregas
90
Substitution SUB: Barrera replaces Behrami. And he sprints off - much quicker sub this time!
90
REMINDER: Stay online after the final whistle for our post-match show. Dan Roebuck and Adrian Clarke will be taking your calls as well as your e-mails so phone the studio on 020 7607 3200 (from inside the UK) or +44 20 7607 3200 (from outside the UK).
90
THREE MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME: And Chelsea have taken the lead at Blackburn so a win here becomes even more important
90
Substitution SUB: Chamakh is replaced by Eboue
89
CLICHY DID SO WELL THERE: He cut inside his marker and kept his calm to pick out Song inside the box.
88
GOAL! - Alex Song 1 : 0 YESSSSSS!!! ARSENAL 1 WEST HAM 0: ALEX SONG HAS DONE IT! Wonderful play from Clichy and Song dives to head the left back's cross past Green!
87
Substitution SUB: Faubert comes on for Obinna
86
WENGER MUST BE SICK OF THE SIGHT OF GREEN: He has done this before to Arsenal and he is doing it again.
85
GREEN SAVES - YET AGAIN! Fabregas shoots low but Green pushes it away and the rebound eludes Bendtner. Obinna's attempted clearance goes to Walcott and his deflected shot is saved too.
85
GROANS AT THE EMIRATES: Still Arsenal try to find a way through but Fabregas sees another pass intercepted
83
GREEN SAVES AGAIN! Another good stop from the West Ham keeper. Walcott had the shot from the edge of the box, it took a deflection and Green plunged to his right to turn the ball aside.
83
WENGER PROWLING HIS TECHNICAL AREA: Nothing he can do about this now, it's down to the players
82
Yellow Card YELLOW CARD: Chamakh is booked for a shirt tug on Da Costa. The Moroccan is not happy with Da Costa who he thinks led with his elbow
81
LATEST SCORES: Chelsea drawing, Man City losing, Spurs at Man Utd later. What a chance for Arsenal to make up ground.
80
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'Interesting move from Wenger. He's going to go with 4-4-2. A brave move and probably the correct one.' Arsenal have 10 minutes plus stoppages to find that goal
79
Substitution SUB: Bendtner replaces Arshavin.
78
FREE KICK TO WEST HAM: About 50 yards from goal... Noble clips it in but Arsenal can break with Walcott... no, the move breaks down.
77
BENDTNER IS GETTING READY: Will he replace Chamakh or maybe a midfielder?
76
BRAVE FROM CLICHY: He dives in to head away as Behrami comes in to meet a cross. West Ham get the corner but Arsenal clear
75
CLEVER FROM SONG: He wins a corner with a cheeky trick. Nasri's delivery is headed away though.
74
FABREGAS SHOOTS! But that flies over. He found a yard on the edge of the box but got underneath it. Will we see Bendtner or Rosicky now?
74
WEST HAM CORNER: Noble curls it in, Da Costa heads it down and Fabianski claims.
73
Substitution SUB: Carlton Cole replaces Piquionne
72
WALCOTT ALREADY MAKING A DIFFERENCE: West Ham could not handle Theo's pace there.
71
OH NO! SO UNLUCKY WALCOTT! Fabregas to Walcott, he breaks into the box and hits the post - and the ball bounces back into the arms of Green.
71
ARSHAVIN GOES DOWN THE LEFT: He cuts the ball back but it doesn't fall for Chamakh and Obinna clears. Still West Ham hold firm. Time is running out
70
FABREGAS TRIES TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN: But his little flick hits a defender. The skipper is not at his best - yet
69
TACTICS: Walcott has gone to the right, Nasri has moved into the centre and Song will sit deeper than before
67
CHAMAKH GOES CLOSE! Arshavin's free kick is whipped in, Chamakh flicked it on but it goes straight at Green. Either side and that was 1-0.
67
Substitution SUB: Walcott replaces Denilson.
66
REMINDER: Stay online after the final whistle for our post-match show. Dan Roebuck and Adrian Clarke will be taking your calls as well as your e-mails so phone the studio on 020 7607 3200 (from inside the UK) or +44 20 7607 3200 (from outside the UK).
66
DECENT CHANCE FOR NASRI: He plays a one-two with Fabregas but can't get enough behind his shot from 12 yards and Green gathers again.
65
CLICHY HAS ROOM FOR A CROSS: Fabregas meets that with his head but there's no power and Green claims easily.
65
THEO GETTING READY: Walcott takes off his tracksuit.
64
PARKER GOES FOR GOAL: Rare foray from the visitors and that is high and wide
63
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'Fabregas has been quieter than usual. Credit must go to West Ham's midfield for that'
62
SAGNA CROSSES... and that flicks off a defender. Corner to Arsenal... headed clear. Fabregas tries to weave his way through, he gets to the byline but is crowded out by Boa Morte
61
REALLY GOOD ATMOSPHERE NOW: It was a bit quiet in the first half but the home fans are getting right behind their team now
60
PENALTY SHOUT! Arshavin goes down in the box at full pace. Da Costa put his hand on him but it didn't look like a penalty.
58
AMAZING! Arsenal pile the ball into the box and Arshavin, Fabregas and Denilson all try their luck. Once again though West Ham block everything. They are standing firm here. At the end of it all Parker gets a shot flush in his face and needs treatment
57
FREE KICK TO ARSENAL: Fabregas will take it... but he overhits it and Green claims comfortably
56
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'Arsenal have to use the width of the pitch to stretch West Ham'. Maybe Walcott can do that if and when he comes on
55
ARSENAL HAVE GONE UP A GEAR: The tempo of their passing has increased but the accuracy has not. And West Ham are still hassling them every step of the way.
54
THAT WAS 35 YARDS OUT! It was inches from being one of the goals of the season.
53
INCREDIBLE! NASRI HITS THE BAR! Hardly any run up and his effort clatters the top of the bar. It swerved away from Green. So unlucky
53
Yellow Card YELLOW CARD: Boa Morte is booking to hauling down Denilson
52
REMINDER: Stay online after the final whistle for our post-match show. Dan Roebuck and Adrian Clarke will be taking your calls as well as your e-mails so phone the studio on 020 7607 3200 (from inside the UK) or +44 20 7607 3200 (from outside the UK).
51
BIG CHEER GOES UP... as Walcott, Rosicky and Bendtner start to warm up. Lots of options on the bench for Arsene Wenger
50
CLICHY FINDS ARSHAVIN: The Russian runs through in the left channel but drags his shot wide.
49
PARKER AGAIN! He fouls Chamakh this time but no booking. Fabregas takes the free kick but it is cleared easily
49
DENILSON IS UP AND ABOUT: No lasting damage then. But it sums up how West Ham have denied Arsenal any time on the ball in midfield
48
PARKER POLEAXES DENILSON: He got the ball but got plenty of Denilson as well. The follow through did the damage
47
GOOD DELIVERY: Arshavin was lurking at the back post there and it goes behind for a corner. Good start to the second half for Arsenal... but that corner comes to nothing.
Kick Off WE'RE OFF AGAIN: Arsenal attacking the North Bank goal in the second half... and they have an early free kick
45
WATCH OUR FEATURE: Enjoy a special video clip and then we'll be back for the second half.
45
TIME FOR SOME WISE WENGER WORDS: The boss will earn his corn now and perhaps change things around. He could do without Green's heroics of course.
Half Time HALF-TIME: ARSENAL 0 WEST HAM 0
45
FABREGAS CAUGHT IN POSSESSION: That sums up the first half really. Arsenal not at their best, West Ham denying them space.
45
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'West Ham manager Avram Grant has got his tactics spot on, crowding out Arsenal'. He certainly has - will Arsenal get more space when the visitors begin to tire
45
THREE MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME: 'Wake up!' shouts a fan down in front of me. The regulars are getting restless here
45
GREEN AGAIN! Squillaci gets his head on Nasri's corner but Green tips over. Might not have been dropping in but a good save. Another corner... and he tips this away from danger as well
44
GREEN SAVES WEST HAM! Fabregas slides in Song, good low shot but big hands from Green. The rebound falls to Nasri but he can't connect properly
42
WEST HAM STILL MATCHING ARSENAL: Chances few and far between at the moment. Chelsea are losing at Blackburn - surely we won't squander another chance to close the gap
40
SAGNA SEEING A LOT OF THE BALL: He gets another crossing chance and hits a defender. Another chance: hits the same man, Obinna. Corner to Arsenal... but that comes to nothing. Frustration setting in here.
38
CLICHY FOULS JACOBSEN: He was late on the challenge. Free kick West Ham... and Obinna hoiks it high and long
36
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'That's the third time Denilson has been caught in possession'. He played well at Newcastle but not so good today
36
NOBLE ON THE CHARGE: He advances through the centre and shoots straight at Fabianski. Good hit, lucky it wasn't heading for the corner
35
...IT DROPS TO SONG BUT HE SLICES IT... and it hits the corner flag and then stays in play! It eventually goes behind for a goal kick though
34
FREE KICK ARSENAL: Nasri will swing it in from the right. Good chance this...
34
GREEN OUTSIDE HIS BOX! He hacks clear after a ball over the top. He did enough
33
GREAT THROW FABIANSKI... he sets Clichy away but West Ham get it back. Denilson's ball to Arshavin was intercepted
31
FABREGAS GETS CLATTERED: The skipper is down and needs treatment. The ref played an 'advantage' but there wasn't one really
30
SONG PICKS OUT SAGNA: Good one-two there but his cross can't pick out one of the four Arsenal men in the box
28
YOU CAN SMELL A GOAL HERE: I reckon there is one on the way - and I don't necessarily mean at the right end. West Ham certainly causing problems
27
SAGNA STOPS OBINNA: Bacary in the thick of the action at the moment. West Ham get a corner and Obinna gets a chance to cross... Squillaci clears away
26
REMEMBER GREEN'S HEROICS? The West Ham keeper has had some incredible games against Arsenal - at Highbury and Emirates if I recall rightly. Let's hope this won't be a reprise.
25
Yellow Card YELLOW CARD: Song goes in the book for a silly late challenge. Mistimed but once again he finds himself on a knife-edge.
24
GREAT SAVE GREEN! Wonderful stop from the England international. Song picked out Sagna's run inside the area, his cut-back found Fabregas and the captain seemed certain to score. Good hit, even better save
23
Yellow Card YELLOW CARD: Ilunga goes into the book. It was a high challenge but maybe a yellow is harsh. Seemed an honest challenge
22
SAGNA IN A HEAP: The ref allowed play to go on but Bacary will need attention.
21
PIQUIONNE DISPOSSESSES DENILSON: But the striker's touch lets him down and Arsenal get the ball back. But they are not comfortable here
19
FABIANSKI PUNCHES AGAIN... and gets good distance under pressure after Noble's teasing delivery. West Ham keep the ball and Boa Morte fires over from 22 yards. The visitors are doing OK here.
18
FOUL BY KOSCIELNY: He brings down Piquionne and raises a single digit to indicate it's his first bad challenge. The ref doesn't book him but West Ham have another free kick
17
ARSHAVIN SHOOTS! But a deflection takes it wide for a corner... and West Ham get that away
17
FABIANSKI DENIES PIQUIONNE: Lovely pass from Noble to Piquionne but the striker dawdles on the byline and Fabianski bravely dives at his feet
15
DANGER FOR ARSENAL: Obinna's inswinging free kick bounces around in the Arsenal box and almost falls for Da Costa. We need to stop giving away needless free kicks
14
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'Promising from Arsenal. If they keep knocking on the door they will soon break it down'
14
...SONG HEADS OVER: Nasri curved the free kick in and Song had lots of space but couldn't direct it on target
13
GOOD ARSENAL PRESSURE: Nasri gets away from Ilunga, exchanges passes with Fabregas and then finds Arshavin. His deflected cross floats across the box and the hosts keep possession and win a free kick...
12
ARSHAVIN GOES THROUGH! And Fabregas finds him with the pass... but the flag is up for offside. Good understanding between those two
11
ARSENAL NOT QUITE RIGHT: They haven't really got their passing together. West Ham's packed midfield is closing down space well. Patience will be a virtue
9
NOBLE CURLS IN THE FREE KICK... And Fabianski punches clear. That just missed Da Costa's head. Good delivery
9
PIQUIONNE GOES DOWN... and he wins the free kick about 20 yards out on the left. Song committed the foul.
7
ARSHAVIN LOOKING BRIGHT: Good link-up play with Chamakh and Andrey fires low but wide. He seems fresh after that midweek rest
7
ADRIAN CLARKE: 'Some players are struggling with their footing because of that rain'.
6
ARSHAVIN ALMOST FINDS NASRI: But Jacobsen gets in to clear for the Hammers
6
TACTICS: West Ham have Piquionne as a lone striker and five in midfield. Denying Arsenal space is their priority
5
SONG SLIDES IN! Parker was on the move in the Arsenal half but Alex times his tackle very well. Bit of a scrappy start though
4
THAT WAS NASTY: Chamakh is hacked down by Da Costa. Badly timed. Arsenal have the free kick
2
ARSHAVIN ON THE MOVE: Andrey races down the left and turns past Da Costa but his shot is comfortable for Green. Good start from him though
1
TACTICS: Nasri to the right, Arshavin to the left and Denilson and Song giving Fabregas the platform from which to attack
Kick Off PEEEEEEEP: Referee Mike Jones blows his whistle and we are underway here at the Emirates
Well wouldn't you know: it's pouring down with rain after hours of sunshine. Looks like winter is here after all.
Fans race in from all corners and we will eventually have another full house at the Emirates. Handshakes all round on the pitch, some traditional, some more complicated.
Last few stretches for Cesc: we don't want that hammy going again do we? Rob Green whispers something into Scott Parker's ear - dinner plans perhaps? Anyway, here come the teams...
Dan Roebuck and Adrian Clarke are stationed to the left of me in the press box. Don't miss their live commentary and don't miss the chance to have your say: visit www.arsenal.com/studio now
Cesc Fabregas has led his team into the tunnel. He is chatting with the Arsenal mascot. What a moment for him (the mascot, I mean)
Ten minutes to kick off and we all know what that means: The Wonder Of You. A timeless classic, just like the Arsenal.
Jack also said he's desperate to get back on the pitch after that three-match ban. We should see him in the line-up to face Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday night
I mentioned Wilshere earlier: he's been upstairs chatting to fans in the WM Club. Jack grew up as a West Ham fan but he assured everyone he wants to see them go home empty-handed.
I think I’m right in saying that today's the day when Premier League matches abandon the traditional white ball for a yellow one. Just in case we needed reminding that winter is well and truly upon us! Though you wouldn’t know it: we've got sunshine and blue skies here in north London. As Phil Collins might say, there's No Jacket Required.
Kick off is now only half an hour away and Emirates Stadium is slowly starting to fill up as fans finish off their pre-match burgers and take their seats to watch the Arsenal players go through their usual warm-up routine.
What do you think of Arsene Wenger's starting XI? Get your comments to www.arsenal.com/studio
So despite their goals against Newcastle in midweek Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner are among the substitutes for today's game. Jack Wilshere completes his three-match ban so Denilson continues in midfield.
Here is the Arsenal team: Fabianski, Sagna, Koscielny, Squillaci, Clichy, Song, Fabregas, Denilson, Arshavin, Nasri, Chamakh Subs: Rosicky, Vela, Walcott, Djourou, Eboue, Bendtner, Szczesny

Hello Arsenal fans. It's Chris Harris here with today's FREE text commentary from Emirates Stadium. The good news? I've not been as confident about an Arsenal game since West Brom were in town. The bad news? We all know what happened then.
